LUCENA, Quezon: Eight deserving incoming college students from Quezon province were welcomed by the SM Store Lucena personnel as recipients of the SM Foundation Scholarship Program for School Year (SY) 2019-2020.
Most of the students came from Tayabas City, who said they were really surprised to be chosen as scholars out of the hundreds who applied. They favored engineering and accountancy as courses at Southern Luzon State University.
Priscilla Terrenal, assistant branch manager of SM Store Lucena, told the new scholars that aside from the tuition fee and monthly allowance, they were allowed to work part-time at the store during school vacation to experience employment and earning income.
