Sy-led banking giant BDO Unibank Inc. is entering the mobile wallet space, posing as a potential rival against industry leaders GCash and PayMaya.
In its website, BDO said its “NEW Mobile Wallet is finally here!”
Just like the existing mobile wallets, BDO Pay has a send money, pay bills, and scan to pay features.
It also has a “request money” feature, which reminds those who owed an account holder to pay them back.
“Pay Bills, Scan to Pay, and Split Bill —straight from your BDO accounts. No cash-in, no hassle!” the bank said.
BDO Pay can also be used to purchase products and services of its partner merchants.
The BDO Pay app can be downloaded on Google Play Store, App Store, and Huawei AppGallery. —Ted Cordero/KG
