SM Prime has several premium malls, three of which are in Metro Manila’s tourism and trade hot spots – SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, SM North EDSA in Quezon City and SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. These three malls have a total GFA of 1.4 million square meters and attract a daily footfall of nearly 10% of Metro Manila’s population.
The company also recognizes growth opportunities in the metropolis especially in operating community malls. In view of this, SM Prime recently entered into a joint venture with Walter Mart, a community shopping center operator which has malls across Luzon.
